PM Shehbaz Emphasizes Pakistan’s Commitment to Interfaith Harmony and Social Unity
Islamabad – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that Pakistan is a safe country for all religions. In a message on the occasion of the International Week for Interfaith Harmony, the Prime Minister said that today, we are celebrating this week alongside the global community. He emphasized Pakistan’s belief in social harmony and the preservation of values, highlighting that Islam commands justice, mercy, and respect for all creations. He also pointed out that extremism and divisive rhetoric pose a threat to the social fabric.
The Prime Minister mentioned that the world is facing growing challenges of intolerance and division, and reaffirming our collective commitment to peace and unity is essential. He called on citizens to play their part in strengthening the bonds of brotherhood, urging them to embrace the values of mutual respect and cooperation. He added that Pakistan is committed to promoting an environment of tolerance and mutual respect, and will unite in responding to those who spread fear and division.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appealed to religious scholars, community leaders, and civil society members to play a positive role in fostering harmony and tolerance. He urged that those sowing seeds of hatred should be confronted through dialogue.
