Ferrari Launches First Fully Electric Luxury Sports Car

Ferrari Officially Reveals First Fully Electric Luce Performance Supercar Model

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Italian luxury automaker Ferrari has officially introduced its first fully electric vehicle, named the Ferrari Luce, marking the company’s entry into the high-performance EV market alongside rivals like Porsche and Lamborghini.

The newly launched Luce, which means “Light” in Italian, offers a top speed exceeding 310 kilometers per hour (190 mph) and delivers a driving range of more than 530 kilometers on a single charge, according to the company’s official statement.

The electric supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 2.5 seconds and is powered by a large 122 kWh battery pack. Weighing approximately 2.26 tonnes, the Luce is also the heaviest vehicle ever produced by Ferrari.

The model marks another milestone for Ferrari as it becomes only the second four-door car in the brand’s history and the company’s first-ever five-seater vehicle, departing from Ferrari’s traditional focus on compact two-seat sports cars.

Saudi interest in electric cars soars to 40 percent ahead of auto show

Ferrari Chairman John Elkann said the launch represents the beginning of a new chapter for the company, adding that Ferrari aims to continue shaping the future of automotive innovation while staying true to its performance heritage.

The unveiling comes at a time when several luxury car manufacturers are slowing down their electric vehicle plans due to weaker-than-expected global demand for EVs. The broader automotive industry has seen challenges in the transition away from traditional combustion engines.

Last year, Ferrari revised its electric vehicle ambitions, stating that EVs are now expected to make up 20 percent of its lineup by 2030, compared to an earlier target of 40 percent.
