Maryam Nawaz Directs Swift Setup of Punjab Enforcement Regulatory Authority
Sports Journalists Play Vital Role in Promoting Healthy Sports Culture Among Youth,
Lahore(Staff Reporte);Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has directed to expedite the legal process to establish Punjab Enforcement Regulatory Authority for curbing inflation.
She was chairing a special meeting to review amendments to the proposed laws and rules for establishment of the Punjab Enforcement Regulatory Authority in Lahore today.
During the briefing, it was informed that each district would have a District Enforcement Regulatory Board headed by the Deputy Commissioner while a Sub-Divisional Enforcement Officer will oversee enforcement at the Tehsil level.
The meeting was informed that the PERA will enable effective action against wholesalers and encroachers based on public complaints.

Madam Chief Minister acknowledged, “The reporting of sports journalists in Punjab, especially in Lahore, is commendable.” She added, “Sports reporters contributed positively to the coverage of first Pink Games for the women players in Punjab.”

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said, “Sports journalists provide positive coverage of sports through their analysis and reporting.” She added, “A sports journalist not only provides entertainment but information as well.” She highlighted, “I hope sports journalists will continue to play a positive role in public interest.”
