RAWALPINDI: At least 22 militants were killed and six Pakistani soldiers lost their lives in three separate security operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), reported on Saturday.
The first operation took place in the Gul Imam area of Tank district, where intelligence-based operations led to the killing of nine militants and the injury of six others. The successful operation highlights the ongoing efforts of the Pakistani military to dismantle terrorist networks in the region.
In the second operation, carried out in the North Waziristan district, security forces managed to neutralize 10 militants, further weakening the presence of insurgents in the area. The operation was part of broader counterterrorism measures aimed at stabilizing the region, which has seen periodic militant activity in recent years.
