Anti Power Theft Compaign Pace Has Been Accelerated Further. During March 355 Power Pilferers Apprehended 25.06 million Fine Charged
Islamabad: 147 FIRs Registered 86 Electricity Steelers Arrested By Police. Chief Executive IESCO Dr Muhammad Amjad khan while giving brief regarding ongoing anti power theft Compaign said that power Pilferers are social economic and moral terrorists and for their elimination from IESCO region we are fully engaged. In light of the directives given by the honourable prime minister of Pakistan , federal minister energy power division Mr. Awis Ahmed Leghari FIA anti corruption unit and other law enforcement institutions are fully supporting our field formations.
Dr. Amjad said that during the month of march 2024 our detection teams checked more than 1 lack 46 thousand meters in all operation circles, direct power supply was being taken from 318 meters and 37 meters were found tempered. On account of a power theft fine of approximately 25.06 million imposed on concerned customers, 147 FIRS registered and police arrested 86 electricity Steelers.

IESCO Chief Dr Muhammad Amjad khan appriciated the performance of field officers and officials and said that any kind of negligency and dealy in this national Compaign will not be tolerated and if any IESCO officer or staff is caught while facilitating power stealers they will not be spared . We will dismiss them not only from service but legal proceedings will also be initiated.
