The motive behind the killing is reportedly a dispute over a marriage proposal. It has also been alleged that one of the suspects is said to be the son of a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a claim currently under investigation by police and intelligence agencies.
