US Sent Iran Deal Copy to Israel: Trump
Trump Confident US-Iran Accord Will Be Signed Shortly
WASHINGTON: (Web Desk) – US President Donald Trump has said that Washington expects to formally sign its agreement with Iran aimed at ending the Middle East conflict within the next few days, signaling progress toward a landmark diplomatic breakthrough.
Speaking during the G7 summit, Trump stated that the accord reached with Iran on Sunday could be signed as early as Thursday, although Friday remains another possibility. He emphasized that both sides were moving toward finalizing the agreement.
The US president also confirmed that Washington had provided Israel with a copy of the proposed agreement, following reports suggesting tensions between the White House and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the deal.
Despite speculation about differences between the two allies, Trump insisted that he continues to maintain a positive relationship with Netanyahu. However, he reiterated earlier criticism of Israel’s military campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon, saying that Israel could have handled certain aspects of the conflict more effectively.
Iran Rejects Trump Claim of Immediate Deal Signing
The anticipated agreement is widely viewed as a significant diplomatic development, with supporters arguing that it could help reduce tensions across the Middle East and create a framework for longer-term regional stability.
The issue has remained a key focus of discussions at the G7 summit, where world leaders have been closely monitoring efforts to formalize the accord and assess its broader geopolitical implications.
If signed, the agreement would mark a major step toward ending months of hostilities and could reshape diplomatic and economic relations across the region.
