Iran Rejects Trump Claim of Immediate Deal Signing

No Memorandum Expected Today, Says Iranian Spokesman

Tehran: (Web Desk) – Iran has dismissed claims by US President Donald Trump that an agreement would be signed on Sunday, stating that Iranian negotiators had already made it clear that no deal was expected to be finalized on the day.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said President Trump had hoped for the signing ceremony to take place on June 14, which coincides with his birthday, suggesting that the timing was intended to give the event symbolic significance.

According to the IRGC, the US president was seeking to use the occasion as a high-profile political moment and a personal publicity opportunity.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei confirmed that no memorandum of understanding would be signed on Sunday.

Baghaei stated that the appropriate time for an agreement had not yet arrived and urged the public to wait for further developments.

However, he noted that the possibility of an agreement being signed in the coming days remains open, indicating that negotiations are still ongoing.

The latest remarks suggest that while diplomatic efforts continue, both sides may require additional time before reaching a final agreement.
