UAE Deputy PM Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed to Visit Pakistan on April 20-21

The UAE diplomat is also scheduled to call on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

ISLAMABAD – : Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will undertake an official visit to Pakistan from April 20 to 21, according to a statement issued by Pakistan’s Foreign Office on Sunday.

The visit is being hailed as a testament to the enduring, fraternal relations between Pakistan and the UAE and reflects both nations’ mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

During his stay, Sheikh Abdullah will meet his counterpart, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, to hold comprehensive discussions. The dialogue will cover the full spectrum of bilateral ties, with a strong emphasis on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, and regional security. Enhancing people-to-people exchanges and reviewing progress on joint initiatives will also be part of the agenda.

The UAE diplomat is also scheduled to call on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. This meeting is expected to reaffirm both countries’ shared vision for regional peace, economic development, and strengthened diplomatic engagement.

This visit comes shortly after the two Deputy Prime Ministers last met in Abu Dhabi on February 21, 2025. Officials anticipate that the high-level engagements will further solidify the longstanding bond between the two countries and open new avenues for collaboration that will benefit their citizens.

The Foreign Office expressed optimism that the visit would contribute significantly to deepening Pakistan-UAE relations in diverse fields and foster a spirit of strategic partnership in addressing mutual regional and global challenges
