Trump signals diplomatic push as Pakistan mediating Iran US deal
Pakistan mediating Iran US deal as Trump pushes for written agreement with Tehran
US vs IRAN – (Web Desk) – Pakistan mediating Iran US deal has emerged as a key development in efforts to end the ongoing standoff between Washington and Tehran without further military escalation.
The Wall Street Journal reported that US President Donald Trump has told his advisers that America will not resume military operations against Iran unless US forces come under direct attack. The Trump administration is focused on finding a peaceful way out and wants to stop the conflict from spreading further across the Middle East.
Trump himself confirmed that the United States is pushing for a written agreement with Iran rather than a return to war. He said both sides are getting closer to a formal deal and that it could be finalised within days.
Talks are still ongoing on important issues, including Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium. Trump described the discussions as positive and said the Strait of Hormuz could be reopened shortly after any agreement is reached.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said contact between Tehran and Washington remains open, though no major progress has been made yet. He confirmed that both sides have exchanged draft proposals through diplomatic channels.
Araghchi also issued a firm warning to Israel. He said Iran will respond decisively if Beirut comes under attack. He added that when Israel previously threatened to strike Beirut’s southern suburbs, Iran placed its armed forces on high alert.
