Tarar says India failed to prove Pakistan role in Pahalgam attack
Pakistan Rejects India Claims Over Pahalgam Attack
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said on Wednesday that India has not provided any evidence linking Pakistan to the Pahalgam attack.
Speaking on the first anniversary of the incident, which triggered a brief military confrontation between the two countries in May 2025, Tarar stated that India had failed to respond to the questions raised by Pakistan following the attack.
He alleged that India has a history of conducting what he described as “false flag operations,” and claimed the Pahalgam incident was one such case. He added that Pakistan has repeatedly offered a transparent and independent investigation into the matter.
The minister also questioned the speed with which the case was registered, noting that despite the distance of the nearest police station, a report was filed within minutes of the attack.

Tarar further accused India of supporting terrorism within Pakistan, calling it a part of state policy. He also reiterated Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir, describing it as an internationally recognized dispute rather than an integral part of India.
He emphasized that Pakistan remains committed to eliminating terrorism and will not compromise on its sovereignty and national dignity. He warned that any aggressive move by India would be met with a strong response.
According to Tarar, Pakistan’s political and military leadership remains fully focused on safeguarding the country’s security, while claiming that the international community has acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts in counterterrorism.
