NEW DELHI: (News Desk) – Twenty-five Pakistani nationals were repatriated to Pakistan through the Wagah-Attari border on Saturday, according to the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi.
Officials from the Pakistani mission were present at the border to facilitate the return process and provide assistance to the nationals as they crossed into Pakistan.
In a post on X, the Pakistan High Commission confirmed that 25 Pakistani nationals had been repatriated through the Wagah-Attari crossing, with its officials overseeing the process.
The diplomatic mission said the Government of Pakistan would continue working to secure the release and repatriation of all Pakistani citizens currently detained in Indian jails.
The latest development comes as Pakistan and India continue to facilitate the return of citizens detained in each other’s countries through established diplomatic and administrative channels.
The Pakistani High Commission has previously assisted in the repatriation of Pakistani prisoners and other nationals after the completion of required legal and administrative formalities in India.
The Wagah-Attari crossing remains one of the principal land routes between Pakistan and India and is regularly used for the repatriation and movement of citizens from both countries.
The Pakistani government reiterated that efforts would continue to secure the release and safe return of Pakistani nationals held in Indian prisons.
