Adiala Report Details Imran Khan’s Medical Checkups

ISLAMABAD: (Staff Reporter) – The Superintendent of Adiala Jail has submitted a two-page report to the Supreme Court outlining details of Imran Khan’s health, medical care and meetings during his detention.

According to the report, several government doctors have examined the PTI founder, while jail medical officers monitor his food and beverages and conduct routine medical assessments three times a day.

The report states that records of 39 medical examinations conducted by 26 different medical specialists between November 4 and August 10 have been maintained. It further says that Imran Khan is receiving treatment from an ophthalmologist and that one of his eyes has shown significant improvement, reportedly returning almost to normal.

The jail authorities also provided details about meetings involving Imran Khan and his wife, stating that such meetings are held regularly every Tuesday in accordance with jail regulations. The report says 84 meetings have taken place between them so far.

It also mentions meetings with lawyers, including Salman Safdar, who reportedly met Imran Khan on February 10 and April 4, 2026.

The report additionally referred to an assurance given by lawyer Salman Akram Raja before the High Court that he would refrain from speaking to the media within the jail premises following meetings.

Jail authorities alleged that the assurance was later breached and also referred to a High Court ruling concerning Jail Rule 265. According to the report, authorities alleged that statements made during jail meetings had contributed to criticism of the judiciary, foreign policy and law-enforcement institutions.

The development comes as a three-member Supreme Court bench headed by Justice Shahid Waheed is scheduled to hear the case concerning Imran Khan’s health and meetings.
