Rawalpindi_(Mudassar Iqbal)_Pakistan Army troops engaged in two fierce encounters with terrorists in North and South Waziristan districts on September 19 and 20. Security forces foiled an infiltration attempt in North Waziristan’s Spinwam area, eliminating seven terrorists and recovering a significant cache of arms and explosives.
In South Waziristan’s Ladha area, troops defended a checkpost against a terrorist attack, killing five assailants. However, six soldiers were martyred in the intense gunfire exchange. Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji present in the area, as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthens our resolve.
