Pakistan Announces 16-Member Squad For Bangladesh Test Series

Shan Masood To Lead Pakistan In Bangladesh Tests

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – The Pakistan Cricket Board has officially revealed a 16-player squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh. Shan Masood will continue to lead the side as captain, while four fresh faces have earned a place in the national setup.

Currently, five members of the squad are taking part in the ongoing red-ball training camp at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. The rest of the Test squad is scheduled to assemble in Karachi on April 27. Players involved in the Pakistan Super League will join the camp once their respective team commitments conclude.

PCB Retains Shan Masood as Test Captain

The preparatory camp will run until May 1, after which the team is set to depart for Bangladesh on May 2. For this tour, former Test skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has been named head coach, with Asad Shafiq and Umar Gul appointed as batting and bowling coaches respectively.

The squad features Shan Masood (captain), Abdullah Fazal, Imad Butt, Azan Owais, Babar Azam, Hasan Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Khurram Shahzad, Muhammad Abbas, Muhammad Rizwan, Muhammad Ghazi Ghauri, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
