Six Labourers Killed Nasirabad Balochistan After Kalatak Abduction

In a heartbreaking incident, six labourers killed Nasirabad Balochistan have left families across two provinces in deep mourning. The workers were kidnapped by armed men just two days before their bodies were found in a remote part of the district.

Police confirmed that four of the victims came from Punjab, while the remaining two belonged to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. All six were taken from the Kalatak area on July 28, sparking fear among local communities.

After the abduction, search teams worked quickly to trace the missing men. Sadly, their bodies were later discovered in a secluded spot, far from any nearby settlements.

Officials say the remains have now been moved to Quetta. From there, they will be sent to the victims’ hometowns so their families can lay them to rest.

Security sources shared troubling details about the attack. They believe militants linked to Fitna al-Hindustan, active in Kech district, were behind this brutal act of violence.

Before this incident, the same group reportedly killed another worker named Javed. His death occurred just a day earlier, on July 27, shortly before the six others were taken.

All the victims were reportedly working on development projects in Balochistan. Their jobs were meant to bring progress to the region, not tragedy to their families.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the killings. He described the attackers’ actions as extremely cruel and inhumane toward innocent people.

The minister expressed heartfelt sympathy for the grieving families. He said such senseless violence causes pain that words simply cannot heal.

According to Naqvi, this attack goes beyond the loss of lives. It also strikes at Balochistan’s growth and the livelihood of hardworking people trying to build a better future.

He firmly stated that those behind this heartless crime deserve no mercy. The government, he added, stands firmly beside the affected families during this painful time.

This tragic event is part of a larger pattern of unrest. Since 2021, when the Afghan Taliban took power, violence has surged across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

A recent report by the Centre for Research and Security Studies sheds light on this troubling trend. It shows both provinces remained major hotspots for violence during the second quarter of 2026.

Together, KP and Balochistan accounted for almost all violence-related deaths nationwide. More than half of these fatalities were recorded in KP alone.

Balochistan followed closely behind, contributing a significant share of the total casualties. The numbers highlight just how serious the security situation has become.

KP also witnessed the highest number of violent incidents overall. Balochistan wasn’t far behind, showing that militant activity remains heavily concentrated in these two regions.

As investigations continue, authorities have promised swift action against those responsible. For now, grieving families wait to bring their loved ones home for a final farewell.
