Sindh Government Mulls Smart Lockdown to Conserve Fuel

Sindh Plans Fuel Saving Lockdown With Work From Home and Online Classes for Most Citizens

Sindh – (Web Desk) – The Sindh government is planning to bring in a smart lockdown very soon. Its spokesman Diwan Sukhdev Asardas made this announcement on Friday. He said rising oil prices around the world pushed the government to take this step. A formal notification is expected within the next 24 to 48 hours.

Asardas made it clear that this lockdown is nothing like the one we saw during COVID. That one was about stopping a virus. This one is simply about saving fuel.

So, what will actually change? Colleges and universities will shift to online classes. Government and private offices may ask employees to work from home. That is pretty much it for most people.

But some services will keep running as normal. Hospitals, police and public transport will stay fully operational. They are not included in any restrictions.

The government says the current situation demands some sacrifices. With fuel prices climbing globally, cutting down on daily fuel use has become a serious need. This lockdown is their answer to that problem.
