Sindh CM Announces Scholarships for 30,000 Students from 30 Universities

Training in Project Management, Cybersecurity, and AI with Special Quota for Women and Underprivileged Communities

Karachi – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced scholarships for 30,000 students from 30 universities in Sindh. The announcement was made following the signing of an agreement between the Sindh government, Google, and Teach Ville at the Chief Minister’s House.

The initiative will provide 30,000 Google Career Certificate scholarships to students from Sindh’s 30 universities. Chief Minister Shah launched the scholarships and emphasized that this initiative is a significant step towards enhancing digital education and skill development in the province.

He stated that the Sindh government is making revolutionary efforts in digital education and skill development, and these scholarships are an investment in the bright future of young people. He further mentioned that digital skills would contribute to the social and economic development of Sindh. Last year, 1,500 students from 10 public universities were provided scholarships, and this year, 30,000 students from 30 public universities will benefit from the program.

Syed Murad Ali Shah also highlighted that training in project management, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence (AI) will be offered. A special quota has been allocated for underprivileged communities and women.

He added that 100% of the students have completed the Google Career Certificates, which are 3 to 6-month-long courses. The Chief Minister expressed the desire for Sindh’s students to receive world-class training.
