Shehbaz Sharif: Nation United Against Terrorism, Vows to Safeguard CPEC Projects
In response to the rising tide of terrorism in Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated his government’s strong resolve to eliminate terrorist activities and ensure the security of the nation.
During a federal cabinet meeting on Tuesday, the prime minister emphasized, “Terrorist activities will be eradicated from the country entirely,” stressing that there is no place for terrorism in Pakistan.
He also revealed plans to visit Balochistan soon, where he will engage in detailed discussions with local authorities and stakeholders to assess the situation on the ground. This visit follows a series of tragic incidents that have claimed the lives of over 50 Pakistanis, including several soldiers.

“Yesterday’s events are significant, but the nation will overcome these challenges through unity,” stated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He emphasized that there will be no tolerance for those who side with the enemies of the state and called for national unity and solidarity to expose and defeat such elements.
“There will be no leniency towards those who pose as friends while acting as enemies,” he asserted. However, he expressed a willingness to engage in dialogue with those who uphold the Constitution and recognize Pakistan’s sovereignty. “Dialogue is only possible with those who respect the Constitution and acknowledge Pakistan,” he reiterated.
He further emphasized that there is no room for weakness, adding, “We must move forward with determination and resolve.”
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which he described as heinous acts targeting innocent Pakistanis. He emphasized that these attacks are aimed at creating chaos and hindering the nation’s progress, but assured the public that the “vile intentions of terrorists will be crushed, and the entire nation stands united against terrorism.”

Sharif asserted that terrorist groups are operating from Afghanistan and highlighted that effective operations are being carried out to combat them. He commended the resolve of Chief of Army Staff Gen Asim Munir and the dedication of the soldiers who are determined to eliminate terrorism. “The time has come to put an end to terrorism,” the prime minister declared, noting that the sole objective of terrorists is to disrupt the country’s development.
He also underscored the strategic significance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), stating that “terrorists seek to create a rift between Pakistan and China and undermine CPEC projects.” Sharif reaffirmed his government’s commitment to safeguarding CPEC and protecting other national interests.
