Saudi Embassy Pakistan Condolences After Deadly Peshawar School Roof Collapse

Saudi Arabia stands with Pakistan as 34 children and one teacher die in Peshawar.

Saudi Arabia – (Special Correspondent/Web Desk) – Saudi embassy Pakistan condolences came on Thursday after a school roof collapsed in Peshawar. The embassy in Islamabad said the Kingdom stands with Pakistan in this painful time.

The accident happened in the morning at the Al-Khair Education Center in Dir Colony. The roof fell down while students were inside.

Officials say 34 children and one female teacher lost their lives. Several other people were hurt.

Rescue teams worked for many hours to pull victims out of the rubble. Families waited outside with fear and tears.

In its statement, the embassy said the Kingdom supports Pakistan and its brotherly people. It also sent sincere sympathy to the families of the dead and prayed for the injured to recover soon.

Most of the children were not older than 13. Many came from low-income families.

Police have shared an early reason for the collapse. Peshawar Capital City Police Officer Dr. Mian Saeed said the building was weak, and extra construction on the roof made it too heavy.

Angry relatives want strict action. They say the school ignored warnings about the building’s condition.

Mohammad Zaman, who lost two nephews, told Reuters that the guilty should become a lesson for all. He said nobody should open a school only to earn money without proper safety.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered the best medical care for the injured. He also promised full help for the affected families.

He asked for a detailed report and told officials to check every side of the incident. Legal action will follow against anyone found responsible.

The tragedy has shocked the country and raised serious questions about building safety in private schools.
