Saudi Arabia lifts Hajj age restriction under 15

KSA restores Hajj eligibility for pilgrims aged 12 and above

RIYADH: (Web Desk) – Saudi Arabia has withdrawn its earlier restriction on young Hajj pilgrims, allowing children to once again participate in the pilgrimage under revised guidelines.

The Pakistan Airports Authority confirmed that the Kingdom has lifted the 15-year minimum age condition that had recently caused concern among intending pilgrims.

According to officials, the previous policy has now been reinstated, making children aged 12 and above eligible to perform Hajj. Authorities also stated that visa applications which were previously rejected under the temporary restriction will now be reviewed and processed again.

Earlier reports had indicated that Saudi authorities planned to bar pilgrims under 15 from traveling for Hajj from May 3, 2026. The sudden decision had led to cancellations and uncertainty for many families.

With the latest development, the situation has been normalized, offering relief to affected pilgrims and their families as preparations for Hajj continue.
