Bugti Directs Completion of Projects Within Specified Time Frame
Balochistan CM Orders Construction of Modern Cardiology Hospital, Trauma Center,
Quetta-Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has granted financial and administrative autonomy to all divisional headquarters hospitals, including tertiary care hospitals in Quetta. This move aims to improve healthcare services, ensure timely provision of medicines and medical equipment, and facilitate staff placement and residential facilities.
The finance department has released funds for the implementation of these measures, with a specified time frame for completion. The CM reviewed the progress of the Tuet of Cardiology and the new modern trauma center, setting deadlines for their completion.
Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari prioritizes healthcare and energy sectors, with plans to establish the Balochistan Institute of Cardiology, offering free modern medical facilities to all. The institute is scheduled to be inaugurated on January 15, 2025, followed by satellite centers across the province.
The CM also approved the hiring of a consultant for procurement and directed the Health Department to ensure the inauguration of the new trauma center by December 15, 2024. He emphasized the need for timely completion of projects, expressing concern over delays that could cost precious lives.
Provincial Health Minister Sardarzada Faisal Khan Jamali, Balochistan Government Spokesperson Shahid Rand, and other officials attended the meeting to discuss viable projects addressing health and energy needs.
In a separate meeting, CM Bugti chaired an inter-provincial discussion on water distribution between Sindh and Balochistan, forming a committee to resolve water issues between the two provinces.
