Punjab unveils 460 scholarships for Balochistan students

Govt of Punjab expands education access with Balochistan scholarship program

Lahore: (Web Desk) – The Punjab government has announced 460 scholarships for students from Balochistan, aiming to expand access to higher education and support talented youth from financially challenged backgrounds.

According to the announcement, the initiative has been launched under the vision of Maryam Nawaz Sharif, with a focus on ensuring that economic constraints do not hinder educational progress for deserving students.

For the academic year 2025–26, students from Balochistan enrolled in intermediate, graduation, and MS/MPhil programs will be eligible to apply, provided they hold a valid domicile of the province. The scholarships will be processed through the Balochistan Education Endowment Fund, which targets low-income and meritorious students seeking admission to reputable institutions.

The initiative was welcomed by Sarfraz Bugti, who expressed gratitude to the Punjab leadership and termed the program a meaningful step toward strengthening educational inclusion across provinces.
