KUWAIT CITY: (Web Desk) – Kuwait has ordered two members of the Iranian diplomatic mission to leave the country within 24 hours after a reported attack on its airport that left one person dead and dozens injured. The decision marks a sharp escalation in tensions following the incident.

According to the foreign ministry, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Hamad Suleiman Al-Mashaan summoned Iran’s chargé d’affaires in Kuwait and delivered an official protest note. The note condemned what it described as continued Iranian actions and formally reduced the size of Iran’s diplomatic presence in the country.

Iranian Envoy Commends Pakistan’s Diplomatic Support

The ministry further declared two Iranian embassy staff persona non grata, requiring their immediate departure from Kuwaiti territory. Officials said the move reflects Kuwait’s response to what it considers a serious breach linked to the airport attack.

The incident has heightened diplomatic strain between Kuwait and Iran, with authorities signaling a firmer stance on security and sovereignty concerns in the region.
