Pakistan U18 hockey team fixtures announced for Asia Cup

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – The Asian Hockey Federation has announced the schedule for the Under-18 Asia Cup 2026, which will be held in Kakamigahara from May 29 to June 6.

The prestigious tournament will bring together top youth hockey teams from across Asia, with separate competitions for men’s and women’s categories.

In the men’s event, nine teams have been divided into two groups. Pool A includes India, Korea, Japan, Chinese Taipei, and Kazakhstan, while Pool B features Pakistan, Malaysia, Bangladesh, and China.

Pakistan Under-18 Hockey Team will begin its campaign on May 30 against China at 11:00 AM. The second group match will be played against Malaysia on May 31 at 3:00 PM, followed by a clash with Bangladesh on June 3 at 3:00 PM.

The semi-finals and classification matches are scheduled for June 5, while the final and third-place playoff will take place on June 6.

In preparation for the tournament, the Pakistan Hockey Federation conducted nationwide trials to select the squad. Promising young talent was identified through the recently held Youth U-18 National Hockey Championship.

The event is expected to provide a strong platform for emerging players to showcase their skills at the continental level.
