This comes just a week after another tragic incident in the capital, where an Islamabad Police sub-inspector also died of cardiac arrest while on duty.
That officer, identified as Mukhtar Ahmed, was stationed at Serena Hotel for security arrangements when he suddenly suffered a heart attack. Colleagues quickly rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Authorities have informed senior police officials, and both incidents have raised concern within law enforcement circles about the increasing number of on-duty medical emergencies among personnel.
