Punjab Extends Winter Holidays for Schools Until January 10, 2025

Murree Extends Winter Holidays Until February 28, 2025, Due to Harsh Weather

LAHORE: The Punjab government has announced an extension of winter holidays for schools across the province, with institutions remaining closed until January 10, 2025. The revised schedule, approved by the Chief Minister under the Khadim Punjab Schools Program, will see classes resume on January 13, 2025.

In the hill station of Murree, known for its colder climate, the winter break has been further extended from December 20, 2024, to February 28, 2025, in order to safeguard students from the harsh winter conditions.

In light of ongoing public health concerns, the Education Department has also reminded all schools to enforce mandatory face mask usage on school premises as part of safety protocols. These measures aim to ensure the well-being of students and staff during the extended winter break.
