PML-N leadership restoring honour of green passport: Nawaz Sharif
Nawaz credits leadership for restoring Pakistani passport global respect
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has stated that Pakistan’s diplomatic standing and the prestige of the green passport are being revived due to the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the contributions of Ishaq Dar, and the significant role of Field Marshal Asim Munir.
He made these remarks while chairing a high-level meeting of the Gilgit-Baltistan Parliamentary Board, attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
During his address, Nawaz Sharif said the PML-N has deep understanding of Gilgit-Baltistan and has consistently delivered development projects in the region. He highlighted the construction of a major road project worth over Rs 60 billion, stating that such initiatives have helped reduce distances and improve connectivity.
He further added that development is a fundamental right of the people and the party has remained active across all sectors at both federal and provincial levels, urging other provinces to follow similar governance models.
Criticising governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he questioned the effectiveness of long-term policies there, alleging that citizens are still deprived of basic healthcare and welfare facilities.
