PM AJK Faisal Mumtaz Rathore Confident of PPP Victory in Haveli

Budhal, Hassan Abad: (Our Correspondent) – Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate for the Legislative Assembly, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, received a warm welcome during his election campaign visit to Budhal in Hassan Abad on Sunday.

According to the PPP, hundreds of supporters joined the party during the visit after resigning from the Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. The gathering featured a large turnout of local residents and youth, who welcomed Rathore with flower petals and chanted slogans in support of the PPP leadership.

Speaking to supporters, Rathore thanked the people of Haveli for their continued confidence, saying their support had given him the opportunity to serve as Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He said his government had focused on development initiatives across the district, including road infrastructure, healthcare, education, and other essential public services, while working to fulfill promises made to residents.

Referring to the observance of Resolution of Accession to Pakistan Day, Rathore described the occasion as a reflection of the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and reiterated the PPP’s commitment to Pakistan.

The Prime Minister also commended the professionalism and courage of Pakistan’s armed forces during the recent Pakistan-India military tensions, saying Kashmiris take pride in the country’s military.

Highlighting the party’s election campaign, Rathore said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s manifesto, which focuses on the rights to sovereignty, ownership, and employment, has gained support among young people, workers, farmers, and low-income communities.

Expressing optimism ahead of the July 27 elections, Rathore said the PPP was confident of securing victory, adding that the enthusiastic response to the campaign reflected growing public backing for the party’s policies and development agenda.

Other speakers at the gathering praised Rathore’s leadership and public service, expressing confidence that voters in Haveli would support him in the upcoming polls.

The event concluded with local elders, youth representatives, and political workers announcing their support for the PPP and pledging to vote for the party’s “Arrow” election symbol on July 27.
