Pakistani Hackers Target Indian Military Websites in Major Cyber Offensive
Indian Military Websites Targeted in Cyberattack, APS Sites Defaced
NEW DELHI – A wave of cyberattacks has hit Indian military-affiliated websites, with reports indicating that Pakistani hackers successfully infiltrated and defaced several platforms linked to the Indian armed forces, according to Indian media sources.
The hackers, allegedly operating under the banner “IOK Hacker,” targeted publicly accessible military, welfare, and educational websites. Their objectives reportedly included defacing webpages, disrupting online services, and attempting to access sensitive personal data.
Indian intelligence agencies confirmed at least four verified attacks. Among the affected sites were those of the Army Public School (APS) Srinagar and APS Ranikhet, both of which experienced unauthorized access and defacement. APS Srinagar also suffered a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack that temporarily disrupted access.
In addition, a database belonging to the Army Welfare Housing Organisation (AWHO) was reportedly breached, and a hacking attempt was made on the Indian Air Force’s placement organization portal.

These cyber incidents come at a time of heightened digital tension between the two countries, following India’s move to block several Pakistani websites and YouTube channels under directives from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Indian authorities have launched investigations into the origin and scale of the attacks, while cybersecurity experts warn of escalating cyber warfare in the region.
