Pakistan Stock Market Soars Amid SCO Summit Buzz

KARACHI  – The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued its upward trajectory as international dignitaries arrived for the 23rd plenary session of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) being held in Islamabad.

The KSE-100 index surged by more than 600 points, breaking the 86,000-point mark and trading at 86,441 points.

Yesterday, the index closed at 85,840 points after a 574-point increase, marking another strong session for the stock market.

The bullish momentum carried over into the start of the week, with the KSE-100 index gaining over 400 points to reach 85,901. This rally reflects heightened investor confidence, driven by the presence of global leaders for the SCO summit on Oct 15 and 16 in Islamabad.
