Pakistan Plays Key Role in Iran-US Negotiations for Regional Peace

Islamabad Talks Enter Second Round as Pakistan Pushes for Lasting Diplomatic Solution

Islamabad – (Web Desk) – Pakistan is quietly becoming one of the most important players in the Iran-US negotiations. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam in Islamabad this week. The two men sat together and talked seriously about the next round of peace discussions. And from what came out of that meeting it is clear that Pakistan is not just watching from the sidelines anymore.

Naqvi had recently visited Iran and he took time to walk the ambassador through the key moments of that trip. The ambassador did not hold back his appreciation. He acknowledged that Pakistan has been playing a genuinely positive role in helping cool down the heat between nations. That kind of recognition matters because it shows trust is building slowly but surely.

The Interior Minister made one thing very clear. The second phase of the Islamabad talks is ready to go. Security arrangements are in place and foreign delegations will be well protected. Pakistan has done the homework and the table is set.

What really stood out was how Naqvi spoke about the relationship between Pakistan and Iran. He did not use cold diplomatic language. He called it decades old. He called it rooted in brotherhood. That kind of framing tells you this is not just a political conversation. It runs deeper than that.

Pakistan’s Extraordinary Diplomatic Breakthroughs

He also said something that deserves attention. Pakistan believes the tensions between the United States, Iran, and Pakistan should be worked out through talking not fighting. A lasting solution he said is the only real answer for peace in this region. Senior officials including the Chief Commissioner, Inspector General of Police, and Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad were also present at the meeting.
