Bangladesh set Pakistan 268-run target in Dhaka Test match

DHAKA: (Web Desk) – Pakistan has been set a target of 268 runs in 75 overs to win the Dhaka Test after Bangladesh declared their second innings on the fifth day.

Bangladesh resumed the final day at 152 for 3, but lost wickets at regular intervals as Pakistan’s bowlers applied pressure. The fourth wicket fell at 164 when Mushfiqur Rahim was dismissed for 22 runs by Hasan Ali. Liton Das followed soon after, scoring 11 runs before falling to Shaheen Shah Afridi.

The hosts continued to lose momentum as Najmul Hossain Shanto was dismissed for 87 by Noman Ali, with Bangladesh slipping further to 225 for 7. The innings eventually ended after they reached 240 for 9 before declaring.

Key contributions for Bangladesh came from captain Najmul Hossain Shanto with 87 runs and Mominul Haque with 56.

For Pakistan, Hasan Ali and Noman Ali claimed three wickets each, while Shaheen Shah Afridi took two and Mohammad Abbas picked up one wicket in a disciplined bowling performance.
