Pakistan Mediates US Iran Conflict: Saudi Arabia Backs Peace Efforts

Saudi Arabia Supports Pakistan's Role as Pakistan Mediates US Iran Conflict

Saudi Arabia – (Web Desk) – Saudi Arabia has voiced strong support as Pakistan mediates US Iran conflict, calling for calm and a peaceful political solution amid rising regional tensions.

Iran launched fresh missile and drone attacks on the UAE on Monday. Emirati air defenses intercepted 12 ballistic missiles, three cruise missiles, and four drones. A drone also sparked a fire at an oil facility in Fujairah.

Tensions also flared in the Strait of Hormuz, where the US struck seven Iranian fast boats after Iran effectively blocked the waterway since the war began in February.

Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministry urged all sides to stop the escalation and back Pakistan’s diplomatic push for peace, warning that further conflict hurts the entire region.

Pakistan has been quietly working behind the scenes, passing messages between Washington and Tehran. Last month, it hosted direct peace talks that did not reach a deal. This week, Pakistan helped free 22 crew members of an Iranian ship seized by US forces, a move praised as a confidence-building step.

Pakistan’s close ties with both Trump’s administration and Iran make it a rare and trusted voice in this crisis. However, it is also feeling the pressure at home through rising oil prices, inflation, and energy shortages caused by the conflict.
