Iran Reviewing US Response To Fourteen Point Proposal

Iran US Indirect Talks Signal Possible Diplomatic Progress

TEHRAN: (Web Desk) – Iran has confirmed that it received a response from the United States to its 14-point proposal through Pakistan, and is currently reviewing the reply. According to a report by Al Jazeera, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baqai stated that the proposal is focused on ending ongoing tensions and conflict, clarifying that nuclear negotiations are not part of the current discussions.

However, a separate report by Al Arabiya, citing unnamed sources, suggested that Iran may be adjusting its stance. The report claimed Tehran is now open to including its nuclear program in future negotiations and may consider limiting uranium enrichment to 3.5 percent while gradually reducing its enriched uranium stockpile.

Earlier indications from Iranian officials suggested that initial proposals were centered on restoring shipping activities in the Strait of Hormuz and ending the US naval presence in the region, with nuclear talks to follow at a later stage.

Sources also claimed that the updated proposal could involve gradually reopening the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for easing restrictions imposed by the US. While these developments remain unconfirmed by Iranian authorities, they point to potential shifts in the diplomatic landscape as efforts to reduce tensions continue.
