Pakistan Extends Airspace Ban On Indian Aircraft Again

Pakistan Prolongs Restrictions On Indian Aircraft Until June Twenty Three

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Pakistan has extended restrictions on the use of its airspace by Indian aircraft until June 23, according to a fresh Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority.

The latest notification, effective from May 19, states that the ban will continue to apply to all aircraft registered in India, including commercial and military planes.

The restriction has also been expanded to include aircraft leased by Indian airlines as well as planes owned or operated by Indian individuals, widening the scope of the existing airspace limitations.

Pakistan initially closed its airspace to Indian aircraft last year, and the restriction has since been extended several times through official notifications.

ISPR Strongly Rejects Indian Army Chief’s Provocative Remarks

Aviation experts say the continued closure is likely to create operational challenges for Indian carriers, particularly for westbound and long-haul international routes. Airlines may be required to use longer alternate flight paths, potentially increasing travel time and fuel costs.

The move reflects the continuation of aviation restrictions between the two neighboring countries amid ongoing regional tensions.

No immediate response has been issued by Indian aviation authorities regarding the latest extension.
