National Hockey Championship Prize Money Increased Tenfold in Pakistan

Pakistan National Hockey Championship Prize Money Increased Tenfold to Rs28 Million

ISLAMABAD: (Sports Desk) – The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced a major increase in the prize money for the National Hockey Championship, raising the total amount to Rs28 million.

According to PHF President Mohiuddin Wani, the prize money has been increased tenfold, with players participating in the championship set to receive significantly higher financial rewards.

Wani said the decision was aimed at providing greater financial support and encouragement to hockey players competing at the national level.

Previously, players taking part in the championship were generally provided with daily allowances and accommodation, but there was no comparable prize-money structure.

The PHF’s latest decision is being viewed as an effort to strengthen domestic hockey and provide players with greater incentives to compete at the highest level.

The National Senior, Junior and Under-15 Hockey Championships are scheduled to be held in January, bringing players from different age groups together for national-level competition.
