Iranian Foreign Minister Discusses Ceasefire with Pakistan Civil Military Leadership

TEHRAN: (Web Desk) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi held separate telephone conversations with Pakistan’s top civilian and military leadership to discuss the evolving regional situation and efforts toward a ceasefire. According to Iranian media reports, he spoke with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar as well as Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir.

During these discussions, key regional developments and ceasefire-related matters were reviewed. Pakistan’s Foreign Office confirmed the call between Abbas Araqchi and Ishaq Dar, stating that both sides exchanged views on regional stability and ongoing diplomatic efforts. The talks also covered Islamabad’s role in facilitating dialogue in the context of US-Iran tensions.

Pakistan continues to actively pursue diplomatic channels to ease tensions between the United States and Iran. Senior leadership, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Ishaq Dar, and Asim Munir, remain engaged with multiple countries to support ceasefire and de-escalation efforts.
