Pakistan Army Ready for Decisive Action: COAS Asim Munir

COAS Chairs Corps Commanders Conference Reviews National Security Situation

RAWALPINIDI: (Web Desk) – At the 275th Corps Commanders’ Conference held at GHQ in Rawalpindi, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff Syed Asim Munir chaired key discussions on national security and operational preparedness.

The forum paid heartfelt tribute to the martyrs of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians who sacrificed their lives for the country. Their enduring contributions were described as the foundation of Pakistan’s strength, unity, and resilience.

Syed Asim Munir expressed satisfaction over the military’s high level of readiness, professionalism, and combat capability. He praised field commanders for their dedication and effectiveness in ongoing intelligence-based operations against terrorism across the country.

Participants conducted a detailed review of both internal and external security dynamics, resolving to sustain the current pace of operations to eliminate terrorist networks, dismantle their support systems, and prevent them from regaining any foothold within Pakistan. The conference also criticized the policies of the Afghan Taliban, accusing them of providing safe havens to militant groups, which, it stated, is increasingly proving counterproductive. It further rejected allegations that Pakistan targets civilians inside Afghanistan, terming such claims as part of a deliberate disinformation campaign aimed at deflecting attention from internal challenges.

On regional security, the forum highlighted the importance of restraint and responsible conduct, emphasizing Pakistan’s role in promoting stability and avoiding escalation. It stressed that lasting peace depends on mutual respect for sovereignty and collective responsibility.

The participants congratulated the nation on the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, describing it as a symbol of unity and resolve to defend Pakistan’s sovereignty. The forum underscored that the nation, government, and armed forces remain firmly united against all threats.

Strong condemnation was also voiced over ongoing human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, with Pakistan reaffirming its continued diplomatic, political, and moral support for the Kashmiri people.

In his concluding remarks, Syed Asim Munir directed commanders to remain vigilant and adaptable, stressing the need for sustained operational readiness and coordinated responses to evolving security challenges.
