Court Sends Mushtaq Ahmed, Daniyal Abdullah to Adiala Jail
Islamabad Court Directs Two Former Senators to Judicial Custody
ISLAMABAD: (Staff Reporter) – A district and sessions court in Islamabad on Monday sent former senators Mushtaq Ahmed and Daniyal Abdullah to Adiala Jail on judicial remand in a case involving the alleged recovery of weapons during protests related to Kashmir.
Judicial Magistrate Naseeruddin heard the case registered at Ramna Police Station against the two accused.
During the proceedings, the investigation officer informed the court that the investigation had been completed and requested that the accused be placed in judicial custody.
The court accepted the request and ordered that both former senators be sent to Adiala Jail.
The court directed authorities to produce Mushtaq Ahmed and Daniyal Abdullah before it again on August 24.
The investigation officer was also instructed to submit the case challan within the legally prescribed period.
