OGDCL Boosts Hydrocarbon Production at Nashpa Well-10 in Karak District
By utilizing advanced rigless intervention techniques across multiple formations, OGDCL has achieved a substantial increase in output.
ISLAMABAD– The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has announced a remarkable enhancement in hydrocarbon production at Nashpa Well-10, situated in the Karak District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This development is a significant milestone in OGDCL’s ongoing production enhancement campaign.
By utilizing advanced rigless intervention techniques across multiple formations, OGDCL has achieved a substantial increase in output. The cumulative production from Nashpa Well-10 has now reached an impressive 1,870 barrels per day (BPD) of oil and 7.02 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas. This marks a significant improvement from the previous production levels of 1,700 BPD of oil and 2.45 MMSCFD of gas.
The additional gas produced is being seamlessly integrated into the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) network, contributing to a more stable and reliable energy supply. This boost in production not only enhances energy security but also provides notable economic benefits. The increased output from Nashpa Well-10 is expected to save Pakistan approximately $30.67 million annually by reducing the need for imported energy.
