Netanyahu Requested White House Meeting Next Week: Trump
In a statement, Trump said Netanyahu “knows who the boss is.”
WASHINGTON: (News Desk) – US President Donald Trump has said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has requested a meeting at the White House, which is expected to take place next week.
In a statement, Trump said Netanyahu “knows who the boss is.” He also claimed that the United States could have targeted Iran’s leadership during the funeral of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei but chose not to do so.

Trump said Washington did not launch such an attack because it wanted to keep the path open for nuclear negotiations. He added that the US could have eliminated Iran’s leadership in a single strike, but doing so would have left no one to negotiate with.
The US president further said Iran was eager to reach an agreement and that both sides had agreed to postpone nuclear talks for one week. According to Trump, negotiations will resume after Khamenei’s burial, while both countries will refrain from attacking each other during the pause.
