Netanyahu pledges Israel will keep striking until Iran’s regime collapses

Netanyahu Vows to Fight On as Iran Signals It Wants Peace

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – (Web Desk) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made clear on Tuesday that Israel has no plans to stop its military operations against Iran. In a televised address, he said firmly that the fight is far from finished and that Israel would keep pushing until it brings down what he called Iran’s “terror regime.”

“The campaign is not over,” he told viewers. “We will continue to crush the terror regime.”

His remarks came just hours after Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian signaled that his country genuinely wants to see this war come to an end — but only if there are solid guarantees that hostilities won’t flare up again.

Netanyahu delivered his statement on the eve of the Jewish Passover holidays, striking a reflective but resolute tone. He acknowledged the weight of the decisions made, saying simply, “We had to act, and we acted.”

He also took a moment to highlight what he sees as a turning point in the region. Despite the ongoing conflict, he said Israel had stood its ground, reshaped the Middle East, and in his view, emerged from it all as a stronger, more influential regional power.

Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump launched a new war on February 28, killing Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamanei and setting off a wave of retaliatory attacks across the region.

Opposition leader and head of the centre-right Yesh Atid party, Yair Lapid, criticised Netanyahu and his speech.

“Netanyahu delivered for the thousandth time the arrogant speech that says, ‘I changed the Middle East.'”

“You almost changed the Middle East; in the end it always turns out that it hasn’t changed.”
