Naqvi, US envoy discuss Iran talks, regional security

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Mohsin Naqvi held a key meeting with Natalie Baker in Islamabad to discuss diplomatic developments ahead of the anticipated second round of United States–Iran talks, alongside the broader regional situation.

According to reports, both sides reviewed ongoing diplomatic efforts and security arrangements linked to the expected negotiations. The discussions come as Donald Trump expressed optimism about progress, including hopes tied to the continuation of a ceasefire.

During the meeting, Naqvi welcomed the recent decision to extend the ceasefire, calling it a constructive step toward easing tensions. The interior minister further highlighted that Pakistan’s leadership, including the prime minister and military authorities, is actively engaged at multiple levels to support a peaceful outcome and facilitate dialogue.
