Nadia Khan Reveals Regret Over Rejecting Shoaib Mansoor’s Bol

ISLAMABAD: (Showbiz Desk) – Actress and television host Nadia Khan has opened up about a career opportunity she still regrets missing, revealing that she once turned down a role in Shoaib Mansoor’s acclaimed film Bol.

Speaking on the television show Kya Drama Hai, Nadia recalled that Shoaib Mansoor personally approached her and made efforts to persuade her to join the project.

Nadia said she genuinely wanted to work in Bol, but circumstances within her family made it difficult for her to accept the offer. She revealed that a dispute arose at home after she received the role and that her former husband ultimately did not allow her to appear in the film.

“I regret refusing Bol to Shoaib Mansoor,” Nadia said, acknowledging that she felt she had let the filmmaker down after he had made significant efforts to bring her on board.

Looking back, Nadia said she had wanted the opportunity and now believes she should have accepted the role.

The character was eventually played by Humaima Malick, who portrayed Zainab in the 2011 film. Nadia had previously spoken about being approached for the part, explaining that opposition from her husband and family prevented her from taking it.

During the recent discussion, Nadia said she was not in a position at the time to make the decision independently. She specifically identified her former husband as the person who stopped her from accepting the project.

Fellow panelist Atiqa Odho responded to Nadia’s revelation by suggesting that she should have stood up for her own career at that point in her life.

Mukarram Kaleem also highlighted the irony of the situation, pointing out that the film was titled Bol, meaning “speak up,” and suggesting that Nadia should have spoken up for her professional ambitions.

Nadia’s comments have once again revived discussion about the role she could have played in Bol. Written and directed by Shoaib Mansoor, the 2011 film became a prominent title in Pakistani cinema, while Humaima Malick gained significant recognition for her portrayal of Zainab.
