Interior Minister Praises Armed Forces And Intelligence Agencies Performance Strongly
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Mohsin Naqvi said on Thursday that timely intelligence and strategic planning played a decisive role in Pakistan’s success during the military confrontation with India in May 2025, referred to by officials as Marka-e-Haq.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, the interior minister praised the leadership of Asim Munir, along with the efforts of the Pakistan Army and intelligence agencies, saying their coordinated response proved critical during the conflict.
Naqvi stated that Pakistan had received important information before the confrontation, which significantly contributed to operational preparedness and military success. He also credited divine support and leadership efforts during both the conflict and diplomatic initiatives aimed at easing tensions between the United States and Iran.
The minister claimed that India sought a ceasefire soon after Pakistan’s response intensified, adding that the conflict could have caused much greater losses if hostilities had continued.

He further alleged that India approached multiple countries, including the United States, in an effort to secure a ceasefire agreement during the confrontation.
Discussing operational details, Naqvi claimed that Pakistani drones conducted prolonged flights over several Indian cities, including Delhi, while also targeting strategic installations such as oil refineries.
He also stated that several missiles were fired toward Noor Khan Airbase during the conflict, but according to him, only one landed within the airbase area while others missed their intended targets.
The interior minister commended Pakistan’s intelligence agencies for what he described as timely and effective information-sharing that contributed to the country’s operational readiness.
Addressing internal security concerns, Naqvi warned against cross-border terrorism and stated that security forces continue daily counterterrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
