Marium Malik Islamabad Suicide After Online Trading Loss

Marium Malik Islamabad Suicide Shocks Family Amid Online Trading Crisis

Islamabad  – (Web Desk) – A 38-year-old mother of three died in a tragic incident in Islamabad on Friday. The Marium Malik Islamabad suicide case has raised serious concerns about the dangers of online trading fraud in Pakistan.

Marium Malik was a resident of Jinnah Gardens. She had been married for about ten years and was a homemaker. Her husband works as a property dealer. Police confirmed she had been under prolonged mental stress after losing her savings in online trading.

Investigators said Marium left her home alone without carrying any personal items, including her mobile phone or identification documents. She used a motorcycle ride-hailing service to reach a commercial mall in Islamabad.

CCTV footage shows she arrived at the 13th floor through the lift at around 1:04 pm. She walked around the area several times before approaching the edge. She then climbed onto a stack of chairs and tables placed there due to rain and jumped off.

Rescue teams and police reached the scene shortly after and found her dead. Her body was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for a post-mortem examination.

Her husband, father and brothers later arrived to receive the body. No belongings were found at the scene.

Police are investigating the matter further. The case has drawn attention to the growing risks of unregulated online trading platforms targeting ordinary citizens in Pakistan.
