In a significant anti-narcotics operation at Lahore Airport, authorities uncovered 28 capsules containing ice (crystal meth) concealed in the stomach of a passenger bound for Saudi Arabia.
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) also apprehended two individuals who were attempting to smuggle over two and a half kilograms of drugs to Dubai.
This operation was part of a larger nationwide crackdown, which led to 11 arrests across nine operations. The ANF seized a total of 212 kilograms of various drugs, including hashish and narcotic pills, from different locations throughout Pakistan. Among the notable recoveries were 20 kilograms of ice in Kasur and 5 kilograms of opium from suspects in Lahore.
In Islamabad, a suspect near a university admitted to selling drugs to students, prompting further investigations. The ANF has filed cases against the arrested individuals under the Anti-Narcotics Act, with inquiries currently ongoing.
