“Leave Now: Iranian Analyst Issues Evacuation Advice for Gulf Residents”

Advisory shared on social media raises concerns amid lack of official guidance

Tehran/Islamabad: (Mudassar Iqbal/X Post) – Iranian political analyst Saeed Mohammad Marandi has urged people living in Gulf countries to consider precautionary measures, including the possibility of leaving the region, in a statement shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

In his message, he specifically mentioned residents of the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, advising them to remain alert amid escalating regional tensions. He also cautioned maritime operators in the Persian Gulf to exercise vigilance and be prepared for potential evacuation scenarios.

Marandi further highlighted the strategic Strait of Hormuz, suggesting that shipping activity in the area could face heightened risks if tensions continue to rise.

However, there has been no official confirmation or advisory issued by any government or international authority supporting these claims. Experts emphasize that such statements circulating on social media should be treated with caution, and the public is advised to rely only on verified government and institutional sources for guidance.

Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar has stated that the ceasefire between Iran and the United States will conclude at 4:50 a.m. on April 22 (Pakistan time).

In a post on social media platform X, he said that Pakistan is still awaiting confirmation from Iran regarding participation in the Islamabad peace talks, and no official response has yet been received.

Tarar added that Pakistan, acting as a mediator, remains in continuous contact with Iranian authorities and is actively pursuing diplomacy and dialogue to support the peace process.

He stressed that Iran’s decision to join the talks before the expiry of the two-week ceasefire is of critical importance for maintaining progress.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has stated that he does not support any further extension of the ceasefire, asserting that the Iran issue will conclude through a “major agreement.”

In an interview with a US media outlet, Trump said that negotiations with Iran are progressing from a position of strength and that the situation is being managed effectively.

He also claimed that economic pressure measures on Iran have been successful and warned that the United States is prepared for military action if necessary, while adding that he does not intend to make any rushed decisions on the matter.
