According to police and the victim’s family, the child, identified as Ali Hyder, was studying at the madrassah when he was allegedly subjected to severe physical abuse by a teacher.

The family alleged that the teacher assaulted the boy for not attending a ceremony held at the seminary. Ali Hyder reportedly sustained critical injuries and remained under treatment for eight days before succumbing to his injuries.
The deceased was a resident of Bahawalnagar, and his death has sparked grief among family members and calls for those responsible to be brought to justice.
Following the incident, police registered a case against the accused teacher and initiated raids to arrest the suspect. Authorities said the investigation is underway and further legal action will be taken based on the findings.
The incident has once again highlighted concerns over child safety and the use of corporal punishment in educational institutions.
